Think yourself lucky I managed to get any of these beggars in flight and reasonably focussed. They have the speed of an exocet missile and keen eyed ability to turn through right angles when they have spotted a camera. Fortunately they seem good natured and friendly posing on the outcrops. I presume they were knackered after their flight exertions.
My 'local' colony was on the Isle of May, off Anstruther, Fife, in the Firth of Forth
Like so many I succumbed to searching for the iconic puffin snap of "mouthful of food - and preferably in flight."
